Midway games, vendor booths, live entertainment, and an insane amount of food will once again draw crowds when the Richmond Night Market starts up its 2018 run.
Opening day is slated for May 11, and the Richmond Night Market will be open until October 8.
The market consistently offers an impressive quantity of options for shopping and eating--they have over 100 food stalls and 200 vendors. Oh, and you may even be able to get away with a little bartering with those vendors (so says the Richmond tourism folks).
But the food is always one of the most exciting parts of the Night Market, so you can expect to find everything from those iconic "tornado potatoes" to grilled meats, bubble waffles, "large" fried chicken, wild beverage concoctions, epic treats, and who knows what else is in store for this year.
Because it's a night market, things really get going there once the sun sets, so expect big crowds, line ups, and lots of activity. The Richmond Night Market may also see a bump in attendance thanks to the shuttering of its smaller "rival" market, the Illumination Summer Night Market, which recently revealed they were opting to pull the plug for good.
This could be the last year for the Richmond Night Market at its current location, as land development may force the annual event to find a new spot in the future.
