The event promises to be "wildly civilized", featuring 50 stage performances, live and multimedia art installations and gourmet culinary experiences from some of Vancouver’s most acclaimed restaurants.
SKOOKUM has announced its inaugural lineup featuring The Killers, Florence + The Machine, Metric, St. Vincent and myriad of local favourites like Said The Whale, Yukon Blone and Hey Ocean. The event takes place September 7 - 9, 2018 in Stanley Park.
“This is the result of a conversation that began five years ago to create a more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable Festival," says BRANDLIVE Festival Director, Paul Runnals. "We feel this first year lineup reflects the spirit of what are trying to achieve in a way that also acknowledges the significant history of the location.”
BRANDLIVE, who previously organized the Squamish Music Festival, have also collaborated with the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations to provide opportunities for Indigenous musicians, chefs, and visual artists throughout the festival. There will also be on-site opportunities for attendees to learn about Stanley Park's historical significance in First Nations culture.
SKOOKUM has also promised a comprehensive shuttle bus program, car and bike share partnerships, and multiple transit routes to ensure attendees can easily get to and from the Festival.
