A Burnaby family is raising money for sick children this Christmas by lighting up their front yard.

The DuPlessis family at 8222 Burnlake Dr. sent in some photos of their display this year and it’s pretty incredible.

“We have been working hard to make this year’s display unforgettable,” read a news release. “Along with the usual thousands of lights, ornaments and inflatables, there are a number of new additions that will be hard to miss, such as the 12-foot Grinch upon his sleigh, misfit island and a forest of trees. We have ensured all of our classic Christmas display ornaments, some of which have been a part of the display for over 25 years, have been placed with care for your enjoyment. This year’s display is dedicated in memory of my dad, Frank DuPlessis, who helped build a number of the classic items that I hope you will come see and enjoy.”

“Our Christmas display is synchronized to music so please come and enjoy the 12-minute show from the comfort of your vehicle by tuning to HoHoHo Radio at 92.3 FM or while socially distanced at curb side,” said a statement from the family.

The show runs daily from 4:30 p.m. to midnight until Jan. 9, 2022.

This home is close to the intersection of Lougheed and Brighton near Costco, and they are collecting donations for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
