Missy Elliott's first-ever headlining tour is about to launch with the first show taking place in Vancouver on July 4.
The "Out of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience" takes over Rogers Arena on Thursday, which will find Elliott joined by Busta Rhymes and Ciara, and opener Timbaland.
Elliott has a long list of hits to her name like "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It," and "Gossip Folks" (and as a featured artist, like on Ciara's hit "1,2 Step" and Busta Rhymes' "How We Do It Over Here"). She's also in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a road named after her.
Show time
Gates for the show open at 7 p.m.
Tickets
Lots of tickets are still available on TicketMaser's site, ranging in price. The cheap seats start at $67.70 (after the initial TicketMaster fees, they add another $6 at the checkout).
At the other end of the price spectrum (and just a short distance from the stage) are tickets running a bit over $250 each.
Transportation
Hullo Ferries has added a special late-night sailing for the show, departing from the docks in front of the convention centre at 11:55 p.m. and arriving in Nanaimo at 1:15 a.m.
TransLink has not announced any alerts, delays or additional service which will affect trips to or from the concert in any meaningful way.

A few things aren't allowed in Rogers Arena for the show. Notably, some bags won't be permitted; all bags need to be under 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. For reference, 35.5 cm is just a bit over 13 inches.
Rogers Arena is also a smoke-free zone, as far as cigarettes and cannabis are concerned. The band may have smoke machines.
Other common-sense items, like skateboards, selfie sticks and outside food and drinks, should be left at home.
Cashless venue
Rogers Arena is a cashless venue.
"Concession, retail stands, and hospitality will exclusively accept contactless forms of payment," states the arena's website.
Fan service
Rogers Arena has a fan service number to text if there are any issues during the show: 604-765-3267.
Concert-goers can text their issue and their location (seat number and row along with the section) and get help.
