The food scene at the Amazing Brentwood shopping mall continues to keep on blowing up with new additions.
Early next week marks the opening of R+D Kitchen in Brentwood. It’s a new test kitchen concept run by White Spot.
Coming soon is La Taqueria, a hip taco restaurant that has earned raves in Vancouver for its fresh take on Mexican food.
Then there is the Tap and Barrel that will take up two floors and the city's largest rooftop patio – that restaurant is now under construction.
And don’t forget that Asian hot pot giant Haidilao is on its way after months of construction, and the newly opened Gram pancakes, which is giving all-day breakfast joint OEB a run for its money.
But the biggest name of them all is Earls, which will take up space in the southeast corner of the open plaza that has become a major gathering space for the community.
“Earls is thrilled to announce that its newest location is set to open at The Amazing Brentwood in late Summer 2022,” said a statement. “Over two years in the making, Earls at The Amazing Brentwood will be located on bustling Brentwood Plaza and will boast both indoor and outdoor dining. More details will be released soon.”
It’s just another step forward for the Amazing Brentwood, which still has a ways to go to finish its phases and ambitious plans for multiple residential towers and one of the biggest shopping centres in Western Canada.
The skybridge has now opened to the public, connected the older side of the mall and the new 780-seat Tables food court with the brand-spanking new phase that’s loaded with shops, restaurants and services.
The Amazing Brentwood has three residential towers built, but will eventually have 13 total on the 28-acre property at Lougheed and Willingdon. As part of phase one, 1.45 million square feet of retail space has been built.
