'Unfortunate news': Canadian pizza chain closes restaurants, leaves Vancouver

Pi Co is now a no-go

Pi Co has closed its two pizza restaurants in Vancouver. They were the Canadian chain's only two locations in B.C.

Pi Co's West Coast outposts are no more.

The chain, which has more than 20 locations in Ontario and a pair in Saskatchewan, has quietly left Vancouver.

The Vancouver locations, one at 514 West Broadway and one at 574 Granville St., were Pi Co's only two pizza bars in B.C., meaning the chain has left B.C.

Both closed quietly; Pi Co made no announcement online and simply removed Vancouver from the business's social media bios, while listing the two spots as closed on its website

However, physical signs at one of the restaurants announce the closure.

"With unfortunate news we will be closing permanently," states a sign at the West Broadway location, dated June 28.

It goes on to thank customers for the support over the past year.

Pi Co opened the Granville location first in 2022, followed by the Broadway location about a year later.

Known for its made-to-order Neapolitan-style pies, Pi Co has had a slice of the Ontario quick-serve pizza market since 2016.
