Burnaby Heights' charming Chez Christophe will soon be spreading their sweetness further south, as the European-style bakeshop and chocolatier has revealed plans to open a second location in Metro Vancouver.
Construction is already under way on the space at 1558 Johnston Road in White Rock for Chez Christophe's second outpost. The 1500-square-foot pastry, chocolate, and coffee shop will be situated in a newly-built residential tower, offering seating for 30.
Chez Christophe's co-owner, Christophe Bonzon, says he and partner Jessica Bonzon selected the area thanks to the growing community's popularity with shoppers.
“We are excited about the opportunity to become part of the rapidly expanding community of White Rock and South Surrey and want to bring a small taste of Switzerland through our passion for chocolate and pastry with our unique artisanal product,” explains Christophe Bonzon via a media release.
Those customers will be able to see the chocolate being made through a large window from the retail area.
Known for their elegant, whimsical, and creative sweet treats, the second Chez Christophe will echo the selection available at the Burnaby location. The selection will include personalized chocolate creations, fine handmade pastry, viennoiserie, macarons, sandwiches, packaged goods, and a full coffee bar - all presented in Chez Christophe's elegant Art Deco-inspired design and decor.
