Looks like Vancouver will have not uno, not dos, but tres locations of Mexican fast-food giant Chipotle.
The U.S.-based chain has put up signage at 398 Robson Street, setting up shop for its third location within city limits in what was previously a Starbucks.
It's been quite some time since the famous burrito and bowls chain has opened a new location in Vancouver. Chipotle has long operated outposts at 818 Howe Street in downtown and at 532 West Broadway near City Hall.
Chipotle also has several locations across Metro Vancouver, including in Burnaby, West Vancouver, Surrey, and Langley. In Port Coquitlam, Chipotle operates its "Chipotlane" model - it's a drive-through pick up for pre-placed orders (not on-demand ordering through a speaker like other fast-food chains). It's the first Chipotlane in Canada, too.
When it comes to the new Robson Street Chipotle, the company has not shared details, but the business license is making its way through the city's system.
No word yet on a target opening date. And, yes: Guac is still extra.
