Vancouver bakery Ganache Patisserie has shut down its spot in Yaletown. The business had been around for 20 years.

After two decades of bringing "a little taste of Paris to Vancouver" Ganache Patisserie has closed.

The longtime Yaletown bakery is no more after owner Peter Fong handed over the keys to the location on Oct. 31, ending 20 years of sweet desserts and treats coming from the 1262 Homer St storefront.

"We thank all of you for all your amazing support over these past 20 years and we look forward to the future and the new challenges that await us," states the bakery's website.

The bakery announced in August that the business was for sale. The lease for space was up at the end of October.

Fong took to Instagram to express his personal appreciation to the community that supported Ganache.

"Knowing that so many of you have wished me well and supported me over the years, gives me a lot of comfort and confidence in the next adventure to come!" he wrote. "I sincerely appreciate every single one of my clients and I am lucky enough to be able to call some of you friends too."

He also promised to let everyone know what he'd be up to next.
