Ju Restaurant in downtown Vancouver is closing permanently on Jan. 19, 2025. The contemporary Korean spot opened in July 2024.

Another Vancouver restaurant is closing after only a short time.

Ju Restaurant has announced its last service will be on Jan. 19; the contemporary Korean restaurant has been open at 782 Cambie St since July 4, 2024,

"We regretfully announce our closure," reads a post on the restaurant's Instagram. "It was not a long journey for Ju, but it was enough time to be filled with your warmth and love."

The upscale menu from Chef Steph Suh offered a variety of Korean and Asian dishes, including an $88 tasting menu, which will be available through the restaurant's final day.

Ju replaced Black Rice Izakaya, which was the first restaurant to open in Hotel Blu. When Black Rice closed in April 2024 it announced they'd be back with something new, which turned out to be Ju.

"We are incredibly grateful for your support to Ju and Black Rice Izakaya throughout the years, and please continue to support our local restaurants," reads the post from Ju.

While both Ju and Black Rice have closed, Jinmi, in Vancouver's West End, remains open. The Korean seafood concept, specializing in raw marinated female crab, was founded at Black Rice.
