There are quite a few barbecue restaurants in Richmond, but that hasn't stopped more from joining the competition.
Datang BBQ & Beer is the newest addition to the city's culinary scene. It recently opened near Ackroyd and No.3 Road.
The restaurant provides Northern Chinese-style grilled barbecue with a wide variety of dishes including meat and ribs, chicken palm, beef intestines, chicken gizzards, beef tongue and dishes such as cold noodles and sauerkraut.
The restaurant offers all-you-can-eat for $39.95 per person from noon to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 12-3 p.m. on weekends. After that it returns to menu prices.
There have been at least three other new barbecue restaurants that opened in Richmond since August, including Northern Chinese-style Yanbian BBQ, Japanese-style all-you-can-eat Kazuhan Yakiniku BBQ and Mr. Beigai BBQ, a brand from China.
Earlier, in February, Grill Party, a barbecue eatery featuring Northeastern Chinese-style dishes, opened on Alexandra Road.
And South China Silk Road, a restaurant specializing in cuisine from Yunnan, a province in Southwest China, announced last month that it has started offering Yunnan-style barbecue in the evenings.
