New egg waffle house opens in downtown Vancouver, replacing global bubble tea chain

It's the second location for a Metro Vancouver company

Eggette House is a new restaurant in downtown Vancouver replacing global bubble tea chain Machi Machi.

A new shop specializing in egg waffles has opened on Vancouver's Robson Street.

Eggette House has announced the soft opening of their second location at 1194 Robson St. Specializing in the popular Hong Kong snack of egg-shaped waffles, Eggette House also carries bean cubes and milk teas.

"We wish to provide an outlet for the nostalgic traditional snacks of Asia into the realm of North America. Our mission is to bring Eggette House to all corners of North America," reads the company's site.

This is Eggette House's second location, after launching out of the Richmond Public Market. Last year the Richmond Chamber of Commerce named them a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category.

Eggette House takes the place of Machi Machi on Robson Street. The global bubble tea chain originated in Taiwan and has locations around the world including Paris, New York, and Singapore. A location remains in Metro Vancouver at 8368 Capstan Way; coincidentally it's a short drive from original Eggette House
