Any way you slice it, this is great news for pie lovers. The Pie Hole is adding a second Vancouver location, this time moving into some sweet digs in Kitsilano.
The Pie Hole has taken over the space vacated by Khats' Market and Juicery at 1864 West 4th Ave.
The ample 2,100-square-foot space holds plenty of room for some serious pie-making magic. The Pie Hole confirms they have plans to have a cafe up front, a retail section with fresh and frozen grab-and-go sweet and savoury options, as well as a workshop space for classes towards the back.
Know for their always-tempting array of sweet and savoury pies, The Pie Hole is the baked goods baby of Jenell Parsons, who launched the business a few years ago in partnership with her sister, Carla.
The Pie Hole's wares were initially sold through other cafes and vendors, but in April 2017, they opened their first storefront, a cozy cafe on Fraser Street (at 19th).
Just over a year ago, The Pie Hole launched in Burnaby, just at the New West border, where they have been baking up signature pies like Bacon Cheeseburger, Fat Elvis, Earl Grey Cream, Maple French Toast & Bacon, Mac & Cheese, "To Die For" Banana, classic Apple, and more - including awesome holiday and seasonal specials, and even making pie sundaes in the summertime.
They also have been using the Burnaby space to hold workshops, like their fantastic pie-baking classes, where you can discover the secret to their delectable double butter crust. (Hint: There's lots of butter!)
The Pie Hole says they are aiming to open the Kitsilano shop later this spring. Follow them on Instagram @thepiehole for updates on their offerings and the new location.
