Fans of Vancouver's own dry goods and artisanal flour brand Flourist have recently gained a second location to find the bakery's products. Just before 2021 came to a close, Flourist launched its new Strathcona retail location at 859 East Hastings Street.
The small storefront serves as a pick-up location for online customers opting to grab their goods in person. The shop officially opened in early December.
Flourist has also set up the new retail space with a bread and pastry counter, offering some of its most beloved baked goods.
Inside the Strathcona outpost, Flourist shoppers will also find a selection of the bakery's prepared foods, groceries, and kitchen tools - and of course their in-house line of flour and dry goods, like whole grains and beans.
Flourist launched in 2014, initially for restaurant wholesale purchases. Founders Janna Bishop and Shira McDermott then shifted operations to their Commercial Street flagship, offering a café experience along with Flourist products and baked goods.
The original location remains the place to go for coffee or lunch, or for doing a little shopping. Or, if you'd prefer to peruse the Vancouver business from the comfort of your home but still get your hands on the goods, Flourist has an online store and ships all through North America.
