A seafood restaurant on the Fisherman’s Wharf boardwalk has bid the community farewell.
Sockeye City Grill on Bayview Street announced earlier this week that it was closing permanently after 21 years.
“We have been proud to serve and work with an overwhelming number of people, such as our outstanding staff, local charities, suppliers and this amazing Steveston community,” reads its Instagram post.
“Thank you for making us one of Steveston’s most popular eating establishments.”
Past patrons of the restaurant said their goodbyes under the post.
“So sad. We will definitely miss @sockeyecity best chicken wings in town!” reads a comment from Instagram user jenwoodman84.
The restaurant was shuttered on Friday, Oct. 27.
