Last week I showed you my four favourite discoveries on the SPUD.ca website, now I'm going to show you some of the dishes I made out of the delicious, local ingredients.

Okay...I have an obsession with sandwiches. I really could eat them every day. And having fresh bread/deli meat/cheese/veggies delivered to my door just enabled my addiction.

Terra breads baguette was my go-to because I could make it into a sandwich OR toast them to go with the special cheeses I bought.

So good.

I loved being able to buy from local vendors and as soon as I saw that Two Rivers Meats had food on the website, I knew it'd be good.

I ordered the Chicken Tenders, which I was very tempted to bread and make into Chicken Fingers, but the above and below is what I did instead.

There was enough chicken in the frozen package for TWO meals (almost 3 really), so one night I made a stir fry with some of the veggies that I had ordered, and then I put the leftover chicken in a souvlaki sauce to soak overnight so I could have it the next day...with tzatziki and lettuce and green onions, all from local farms!

Both so good and it was nice to be able to get more than one meal out of the chicken after I unfroze it!

Back to the cheese. Amber Ale cheese + my secret mac'n'cheese recipe = SO GOOD! It doesn't take long to make and I had it late one night after returning home from a concert!

There are quite a few different kinds of granola and cereal that you can get, but I spotted this one and remembered my mom telling me about it (I guess it was on Dragon's Den). Since I'm not tooooo big on breakfast, this was nice to just add to a few scoops of (organic, vanilla, and also bought from the SPUD site) yogurt. As you can see from the package, it is gluten free, lactose free, vegan, kosher...you name it. It's gotta be good for you, right?!

With the weather so nice I ate several meals on my balcony, like below...bagels from Siegel's bagels and local, fresh, in-season raspberries.

Okay, so remember when I told you about Beer Brats?...the sausages that are made with beer?! Well here are the two things I made out of them!

A cheese and sausage casserole (it was amazing) and a simple bowtie and tomato sauce pasta (so quick and easy!).

These sausages also came frozen so I simply took them out of the freezer in the morning and they were ready to go by dinner time!

Finally, one of my favourite meals that I made was a Spot Prawn Risotto with Red Pepper and Peas.

It was shortly after Spot Prawn seasons started, so they were really fresh. Risotto take a bit more labour to make, but everything else was either delivered to my door or hanging around in the freezer, so it was still pretty simple.

Well, that's it. I'm sorry I made you hungry. If it helps the same thing happened to me every Wednesday when I knew a box of fresh, delicious goodies were going to be delivered by SPUD.ca to my door that day!

It's definitely a time saver for someone that works at home, a single professional or as Bob showed us a family of three. Thanks SPUD!
