A pair of sibling spots in Vancouver are refreshing their daytime offerings with new menus and sweet deals.
Uva Caffe Bar has launched a vibrant new menu by Executive Chef Jesse Zuber, showcasing breakfast and lunch dishes, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
On deck for dine-in or take-out daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., look for sandwiches like the Panino Colazione made with pancetta, provolone, egg, and pesto; a nourishing Power Bowl with quinoa, beets, hemp hearts, lemon vinaigrette, kale, avocado, dried cranberry, cabbage, and parsley; or the Cibo Insalata, a fresh salad made with local organic greens and veggies and a honey thyme vinaigrette.
For the month of July, Uva is offering customers a two-for-one deal on espresso drinks, as well as kicking off a new loyalty card program - earn yourself some free coffee.
When the weekend comes around, at neighbouring Cibo Trattoria, Zuber has infused some fun into brunching thanks to a set of Italian-influenced dishes, inspired by Italy's bountiful regions and priced at a cheers-worthy $15 each.
Here's the full dish lineup:
- Eggs Benedict — choice of Classic (housemade sourdough English muffin, prosciutto cotto, poached eggs, Hollandaise) or Taste of Florence (housemade sourdough English muffin, whipped ricotta, spinach alla panna, poached eggs, rosemary Hollandaise);
- Ciabatta French Toast (sour cream Chantilly, fruit compote, citrus curd, Amaro Nonino syrup);
- The Venetian (crispy fried soft shell crab cake, poached egg, lemon aioli, spiced potato, arugula, shallot);
- The Roman (sunny side egg, artichokes alla Romana, prosciutto cotto, grilled tomato, ciabatta, salsa rosa, toasted fig and honey crumble);
- The Sicilian (spicy Italian sausage, sunny side egg, San Marzano tomato, crispy fried mozzarella, cannellini bean, arugula);
- The Tuscan (Tuscan sausage, poached eggs, grilled ciabatta, creamed kale, cannellini bean).
Now, what you enjoy alongside your meal is equally as important at brunch, and in that spirit, Cibo is also now serving up a fun new set of drinks, including a sweet DIY Mimosa set that comes with a bottle of Prosecco and a flight of fresh juices. The resto is also pouring their take on a Canadian classic, their Moda Caesar (herb-infused gin, Punt e Mes, Walters Caesar mix, tomato juice, lemon, Worcestershire, pepper shrub), and a sweet Brunch Affogato (soft strawberry and chocolate whip, double espresso, Kahlua, brandy).
Brunch at Cibo is served weekends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is available for dine-in only. However, to get the Cibo experience at home and a taste of what Zuber is firing up there, you can order from Cibo’s weekday lunch and dinner menus for take-out and enjoy an additional 20% off applied to all pick-up orders from Cibo through Tock.
Cibo and Uva are located at 900 Seymour Street in downtown Vancouver
