Romantic Glo at Camp Howdy features a unique dining experience in translucent domes set amidst the forest at Belcarra's Camp Howdy.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a waterfront forest in Belcarra has been transformed into an enchanting outdoor dining destination that can only be accessed by boat.

Romantic Glo at Camp Howdy is operated by 123festivals, the same company that puts on the Christmas Tea Lights festival that began in 2023.

The Valentine’s event features a five-course organic candlelight dinner served in translucent domes amid trees draped with 150,000 twinkle lights. There’s also a light show synced to music and a special dance amidst thousands of glowing candles and flowers decorating the adjoining tea house.

In a news release, the company said it’s “the perfect atmosphere for connection, love and celebration in a setting where nature and elegance meet.”

As the public access road to Camp Howdy closes at 5 p.m., the romantic evening begins with a one-hour ride in a water taxi that departs from Port Moody’s Rocky Point Park at 3:30 or 6 p.m. There will be special sailings from Deep Cove’s Gallant Wharf on Feb. 14 and 15.

The same boat returns visitors to their departure point at the end of the evening.

Romantic Glo runs Fridays to Sundays beginning Feb. 8 to March 2.
