Woman struck, killed during early morning crash in Abbotsford

Abbotsford police responded to a crash on Tuesday morning in the 34000-block of Gladys Avenue.

A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle while she was walking in Abbotsford. 

Abbotsford police officers responded to a collision at 6:02 a.m. on Tuesday in the 34000-block of Gladys Avenue. 

A 60-year-old woman was found suffering life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with police. 

“Initial indicators do not suggest impairment as a factor in the crash,” says Const. Art Stele. 

A section of Gladys Avenue is closed for the investigation. 

The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) is assisting in the investigation and is gathering evidence to determine the factors that led to the crash. 

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash camera footage is asked to contact police at 604-859-5225. 

LMD-ICARS is responsible for the forensic reconstruction of collisions that result in serious injury or death between Pemberton and Boston Bar.
