Global bodycare and skincare giant Lush Cosmetics is gearing up to open a new spa concept in Downtown Vancouver.
The Lush store located at 1020 Robson St is currently closed and the storefront teases the opening of a new Lush Spa in its place.
The spa concept launched in 2009 and as of 2022 there are 15 Lush Spas around the world. The spas offer various treatments, from facials and full body massages to immersive bathing experiences called Book a Bath, all of which can be customized with different Lush products.
Lush tells V.I.A. that the 1350 sq ft space will open mid-December and will serve as both a spa and retail store.
"In addition to new facial and body treatments, we are also working on new services that showcase our dedication to fresh handmade cosmetics. This is still a work in progress, but all we can say is, there will be no more bad hair days," says a Lush representative.
Lush was co-founded in the U.K. in 1995, emerging from a successful mail-order business called Cosmetics To Go, and expanded overseas to North America the following year. Now, Lush has headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Vancouver as well as three stores in the city proper (seven in total across the Metro Vancouver region).
The brand is most known for its bath bombs, which come in all shapes, colours, scents, and sizes. But the product range also includes soap, face masks, perfumes, body oils, moisturizers, and hair care products.
The Vancouver Lush Spa will be the first in Canada.
