A hyper-colourful Japanese 'Robot Restaurant Show' is coming to Vancouver

No word if Mr. Roboto is the Maitre D

The travelling Robot Restaurant Show is coming to Vancouver with its bright lights and vibrant colours (and dinner).

The unique dining experience will be spending three days at a location on Vancouver's Nelson Street late this summer, from Sept. 1 to 3. Inspired by the Robot Restaurant in Tokyo, it promises plenty of flashy costumes, chrome-covered robots, and neon lights.

"The Robot Restaurant Show reaches new levels of dining, taking you on a futuristic journey with high-tech laser displays, multi-coloured lights, flash dancers and glittering robots with a Japanese twist," describes a press release.

That includes J-pop dance routines, a laser show and battling 'bots.

Along with the show comes a variety of food and drink from Japan.

Tickets are $99; there are 10 different shows over the three days.
