While gas prices have dropped a great deal in Vancouver, residents of Prince George are enjoying the lowest prices in the province. In fact, one gas station in the northern B.C. city is currently asking under a dollar a litre.
The Tanu Fuel at 1040 Whenun Rd near Sewh Rd is offering gas for 99.9 cents per litre. What's more, a second Prince George station, the Costco located at 2555 Range Rd near Wiebe Rd, is offering gas at 102.9 cents per litre.
The Esso at 26 Stella Rd near Hwy 16 in Fraser Lake is also offering gas at 102.9 cents per litre, while the Costco in Kamloops at 1675 Versatile Dr near Hugh Allan Dr is selling it for 105.9 cents per litre.
After that, the rest of the top ten lowest prices are showing 106.9 cents per litre.
Gasbuddy.com shares the top ten lowest gas prices in Vancouver right now. The travel navigation app allows users to locate the cheapest gas anywhere in North America.
On March 10, Dan McTeague, President, Canadians for Affordable Energy, formerly of GasBuddy.com, predicted that gas prices would drop a whopping eight to 10 cents in a single day on Wednesday, Mar. 10.
Gas prices are also falling across the rest of Canada, with many stations selling well below $1 a litre as of March 11.
