Deborah Surette was on one trip when she won the money for another, and much more extravagant, trip.
The Chilliwack resident was camping in her fifth wheel camper, according to the BC Lottery Corp., and playing online slot games on PlayNow.com when she hit it big.
She was playing a game called "Lock it Link - Night Life" and wagered $30.
“Best $30 I’ve ever spent,” Surette said in a press release. “It’s still kind of surreal. I have to keep looking at the picture of the win to believe it.”
The win brought her to tears, which confused her husband who was nearby.
“He had to put on his glasses to see what I was crying about,” says Surette.
In total, she won $150,180.
That money is going to a flight to Greece (a bucket-list item for Surette) as well as paying off her mortgage.
