If you're like me and you've been listening to CBC Radio's Q for the past few months, wondering if and when they were finally going to turn the page for good and land on a new permanent host after bringing in guest host after guest host, you're going to be stoked. They've just announced that Polaris Prize-nominated Canadian recording artist Shad is going to be the new guy!
Cindy Witten, executive director of CBC Radio Talk, stated "We were looking for someone who is an original thinker, curious and emotionally intelligent,". Not only that, "Also, a good conversationalist who is witty and fast on their feet. We wanted someone steeped in arts and culture in this country.". Shad is most definitely that guy, and the only bad news here is that he might not be spending as much time in Vancouver as he did in the past, as the show broadcasts from the East. Read more HERE.
