There has been a COVID-19 exposure at a Richmond secondary school.
In an email to parents Friday, McMath Secondary confirmed there has been an exposure to the virus at the school.
McMath said Vancouver Coastal Health has worked with the school to identify close contacts, who have been asked to self-isolate.
“At this time, there is no evidence to suggest there has been any exposure to the wider staff or student community,” the email reads.
“Areas of the school which may have been impacted have undergone a deep clean in accordance with our district’s health and safety protocols.”
The school did not specify when the exposure occurred.
According to the notice, any specific details of the case will not be provided for privacy reasons.
