When in Rome do as the Romans do. When in BC Place do as the Lions do.
That seems to be the idea Ed Sheeran had before this weekend's record-breaking concert at BC Place.
The English pop star wore a custom black and orange BC Lions Jersey for the final part of his massive show, with the name of his upcoming Autumn Variations album coming out on Sept. 29. The jersey also had the number 29.
"Ed Sheeran rocking the blackout jersey while setting the @BCplace all-time attendance record 🧡," wrote the BC Lions on Instagram.
Earlier in the show Sheeran wore one of his own tour shirts, emblazoned with "Vancouver."
On his own Instagram account, Sheeran thanked Vancouver for hosting his two shows (before the BC Place show he played the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in a more intimate concert).
"I love Canada, and I’m sad we have 3 North American gigs left. What do we do after this!?" he wrote.
