Vancouver police are investigating an incendiary device found in Yaletown.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is investigating after an incendiary device was found at the same location that was hit by bullets earlier in July.

The device was found July 19 at a building on Hamilton Street near Davie Street in Yaletown. Police shut down the area that morning to investigate the device.

Police would not confirm whether the device had been lit or not.

"We can confirm it was discovered at the same location as the shooting earlier this month," Sgt. Steve Addison tells V.I.A.

The shooting occurred on July 10 at a building occupied by Isabelle's, a Yaletown bar and lounge located at 1141 Hamilton St.

At the time the VPD noted a business was the target of the shooting, adding that it was closed at the time of the shooting.

No one was injured in either incident.

"It’s unknown who left the device, or what their intention was," Addison tells V.I.A. "No arrests have been made and our investigation will determine whether there are any connections to the previous shooting."
