Did you try to pull an April Fool's Day prank on someone today?
If you didn't, you're not alone. Many people didn't feel like partaking in the prankish fun this year, while others simply don't enjoy gags.
But for Canadians who enjoy a good practical joke, the first day of April was met with some silly high jinks.
Many businesses seized the opportunity to connect with Vancouverties through absurdity. Roots "collaborated" with Tim Hortons on a "Leather TimBigs Holder," while Pizza Hut invites you to "Enjoy the aroma of fresh pizza every day" with pizza-scented candles (perhaps there would be a few takers?)
The VPD employed a couple of feline units, while the Surrey RCMP said that their resident fish was still swimming on his second anniversary with the detachment.
A couple of Canadians shared pranks they played on their unsuspecting families. Minister of Infrastructure & Communities Catherine McKenna says she took advantage of the April antics by having a fire alarm drill for her household--only she didn't let them know it was a drill.
Have a look at some of the hilarity from the Great White North.
We have a big announcement to make!! The @VPDCanine has another two new members joining the pack!
