The Lions Gate bridge has reopened, but the damage to the afternoon commute has already been done.
A tree that fell on the the Vancouver Causeway through Stanley Park earlier Tuesday afternoon was cleared just after 3 p.m., according to Drive BC.
But heavy congestion remained for travellers commuting to and from the North Shore, with significant traffic eastbound due for the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.
