As the song goes, "Let me root, root, root for the home team," but what happens when there's no home team?
Despite a long history, there is no top-level baseball team in Vancouver. The Canadians play in the minor league system as a High Single-A team; that's a couple of tier outside the majors.
So for those interested in the majors, there's a question every Vancouver baseball fan must ask: who's your team?
While there are fans of many teams in the city (including the Dodgers, Yankees, and Red Sox), two make sense for the "home team."
You've got "Canada's Team" in the Toronto Blue Jays, who are on this side of the Canada-US border but play a couple of time zones over, and there are the Seattle Mariners, who are less than 200 km away (or less than 125 miles).
For the Mariners, this often turns their home field into a neutral space when the Jays visit, as thousands of Canadians from western Canada cross the border to watch a game or two.
So we asked people to pick one. Ken Griffey Jr. or Roberto Alomar, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. or Julio Rodriguez, Skydome or Kingdome (RIPs) T-Mobile Park?
