It was announced this morning that the host of CBC Vancouver's afternoon show, On the Coast, will be getting a new schedule starting in January.
We recently shared the news that Rick Cluff was retiring, then followed up with a story from the Courier where he offered insight on his decision and his health.
This morning Rick introduced Stephen on air with a playful version of Quinn's Quiz, a bit that the soon-to-be-former On the Coast host has been running for years. The prize if he got the answers correct? The hosting chair for The Early Edition, of course.
Gloria Macarenko then stepped in to announce that she'll be taking over Stephen's show in the afternoon, and they left us hanging as to who'll be taking over for Gloria at BC Almanac.
I'll be reaching out to both "new" hosts with hopes of sitting down for a couple of my 500 Coffees with them; following up with Quinn who was actually one of that series' first subjects more than 6 years ago and Gloria whom was featured sharing her favourite kids book back in 2013.
