A water main at Commercial and Powell streets broke early Friday morning (Oct. 8) creating a sinkhole that two trucks partially fell into.
Powell Street is now open but there is still a small closure on a dead-end section of Commercial Street where crews are working to repair the damage. No one was hurt as a result of the break and there are no safety concerns a City of Vancouver spokesperson stated in a recent email to Vancouver Is Awesome.
City crews will stay on-site until repairs and clean-up is completed.
