The Environment Canada Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes some precipitation as temperatures drop in the region over the May long weekend in 2023.

It's going to be another sunny but not scorching hot weekend in Metro Vancouver -- but there might be a pinch of wet weather, too.

Environment Canada calls for sunshine throughout the May long weekend but there is an opportunity for showers as temperatures drop down several degrees.

Starting on Saturday, May 20, the forecast includes bright sunshine with a high of 22 C on the coast and 25 C high inland. These temperatures will feel more like 26 C with humidity. The overnight forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a low of 13 C.

Sunday's forecast sees the first possibility of precipitation in weeks, with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the late morning and in the afternoon. The daytime high isn't expected to break the 20s and conditions look cloudy overnight with a low of 12 C.

Monday is expected to be the coolest day of the long weekend, with temperatures expected to reach a mild high of 17 C dropping to 10 C overnight.

While similar temperatures are expected Tuesday, Wednesday is expected to be a couple of degrees warmer. On Thursday, locals should expect the daytime high to climb back into the 20s.
