MONTREAL (AP) — Marc-Andre Fleury made 19 saves for his first shutout of the season in likely his final game in Montreal, helping the Minnesota Wild beat the Canadiens 4-0 on Thursday night.

MONTREAL — Laura Stacey and Marie-Philip Poulin scored in the shootout to earn the Montreal Victoire a 4-3 PWHL win over the Toronto Sceptres on Thursday night. Montreal earned a fourth straight victory.

Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals is closing in on the NHL goals record of 894 held by Wayne Gretzky. Ovechkin has 876 goals and needs 19 to break the record.

OTTAWA — Thomas Chabot scored in overtime to earn the Ottawa Senators some retribution in their 5-4 win over the Washington Capitals on Thursday night. Special teams were the overall difference for the Senators.

NEW YORK (AP) — Olympic figure skating great and authoritative commentator Dick Button has died at 95. Button's son, Edward, said he died Thursday and did not provide a cause.

TORONTO — John Huard, who guided the Acadia Axemen to two Vanier Cup titles and later served as head coach of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts, has died. He was 80. The Argos confirmed Huard's passing Thursday but the cause of death was not divulged.
