One of the most eye-catching pieces of art in B.C. is part of a residential property that just hit the real estate market.
The piece of art is a massive 55-foot chrome-covered Tyrannosaurus rex (which would make it slightly larger than life) sitting outside, where it can glimmer in the sunlight as it looks out over Okanagan Lake.
It's part of a property (well, actually two neighbouring properties that have been bundled) selling for $32.8 million.
The 14-acre site is located in Penticton, at the southern end of Okanagan Lake. Along with the shiny dino, the property has a mansion, a helipad, several cabins, and a grove of cherry trees. The main house also features a large gym and a 10-car garage.
Currently, the two properties are valued at $10 million by BC Assessment, but one is part of the Agricultural Land Reserve, which affects provincial assessments.
The property is located on the edge of Penticton between the town and the vineyards of the South Okanagan.
