You probably know that Vancouver band The Payola$' big hit song Eyes of a Stranger because it was an integral part of the cut-off jean-shorts and jelly shoes early-80s summers of your youth. And also because it appeared on the soundtrack to Valley Girl . But what I didn't know (until recently) was that the video was shot at Kitsilano institutions The Hollywood (note the exterior) and The Ridge.
