This Spring, get up close and personal with fascinating marine life at the Ucluelet Aquarium’s touch tanks and giant tidal pool. The Ucluelet Aquarium is one of Canada's largest Catch & Release Eco Aquariums. Listen as their passionate and knowledgeable interpreters explain the mysteries of the sea through guided tours and special events celebrating the amazing array of incredible marine life found in the waters around Ucluelet.
You’ll get a rare view of the fish and invertebrates that call Clayoquot and Barkley Sounds home around Ucluelet. The trail can be walked in two main sections. Section one is a loop starting near the lighthouse (overlooking the Broken Group Islands of Pacific Rim National Park). Section two extends 5 km north from Big Beach Park. From there you can follow the wind-sculpted coastline to Ancient Cedars grove, where you’ll be able to hug trees that are over 800 years-old!
Wild Pacific Trail is the perfect destination for photographers, storm and bird watchers and hikers of all abilities (wheelchair access is available at the lighthouse area), and is an absolute must for anyone visiting the island.
