Ever wondered what it would be like to bear witness to the innovations of the Renaissance? Why not see for yourself by stepping into Da Vinci’s workshop — right here in Metro Vancouver!
Presented by Sensea Immersive, brought to B.C. by Crossmedia Canada, and currently being hosted at Tsawwassen Mills is The Da Vinci Experience — an multi-sensory immersive showcase of the life and works of the Renaissance man himself, Leonardo Da Vinci.
Seen around the globe by more than 3 million visitors, The Da Vinci Experience exhibition comes directly from Italy to Canada and is showing for the very first time in North America.

In the hour-long experience, you will take a deep look into the genius of the famous artist, painter, architect, inventor, engineer, and anatomist.
The exhibit is curated by Roberta Barsanti, the director of the Leonardian Museum in Vinci, Italy and features both digital and analog presentations, including reproductions of Da Vinci’s greatest works of art and replicas of his incredible machines.
Visitors will get lost in the artist’s masterpieces as they explore the Da Vinci Experience, which features educational displays alongside an immersive 360-degree visual and audio display of his vast collection of his original works — featuring more than 250 HD images — through state-of-the-art floor-to-ceiling projections on the floors and walls.

The exhibit includes 10 replicas of Da Vinci’s machine inventions, which were originally created in his Florentine workshop and have now been reproduced from real designs in great detail and built-to-scale based on the original projects.
From the Hang Glider to Mechanical Jack, the machines are as impressive as Da Vinci’s famous art pieces.

In the VR Zone. you can uncover Da Vinci’s most ambitious inventions in virtual reality. You will enjoy a truly immersive experience through VR technology, which will transport you to Da Vinci’s workshop in Florence.
The Da Vinci Experience also features a groundbreaking school program that is integrated with the exhibition.
Developed for educators and learners in Grades 4 to 11, with curriculum designed by teachers for teachers, this educational program is a first in Canada.
Students will learn all about Leonardo Da Vinci’s legacy as a pivotal figure in the development of science, engineering, and the arts, and how his work revolutionized multiple ways of knowing and created a foundation for the development of the modern world.
