Flights from Vancouver to Honolulu are steep in January 2025 through the first half of February...but travellers can find cheaper options if they hold out for their tropical escape from Raincouver.
Prices on one-way and return flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) drop significantly in the third week of February through the first half of March before climbing up again.
For example, a direct flight from WestJet departing from Vancouver on Feb. 20, 2025, costs under $250 when booked through a third-party supplier such as FlightHub ($243) or trip.com ($240). The ticket costs $258 booked directly through WestJet (see slides two through four).
According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for the economy or $209 cheaper than usual.
For those planning on purchasing cheaper options, be aware that tickets booked in WestJet's UltraBasic fare class don't permit carry-on bags or seat selection during the 24-hour check-in. Book in Econo if you want to bring a carry-on bag.
