While London, Dublin, and recently Paris, appear among the least expensive cities to fly to from Vancouver International Airport (YVR), select flights to Portugal are a steal even departing at the start of peak season in June.
Lisbon is one of the world's fastest-growing tourist destinations, attracting tourists in droves to its sun-soaked streets.
The city has month-long festas (festivals) in June, featuring dance, decorations, and music. The month is centred around the feast of Santo António from June 12 to 13, which features several parades.
A few flights cost under $600 round-trip from Vancouver to Portugal, although they involve one or two stops. These prices are significantly lower than seasonal averages, and hundreds less than the price travellers will pay to visit other popular destinations.
Cheap flights from Vancouver to Europe: Fly to Lisbon for a steal in June 2025
A round-trip flight with American Airlines on the outbound trip and Finnair and American Airlines on the return flights costs $546.17, including all taxes and fees.
The first flight departs YVR on Saturday, June 7, and stops in London for six hours and 20 minutes before arriving at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) on Sunday, June. 8.
The return trip departs LIS on Thursday, June 12, and makes a stop in Madrid for just over 2.5 hours before making a second stop in Chicago for five hours and 49 minutes before arriving in Vancouver.
