Direct flights connecting Vancouver to Hamilton, ON will soon be available with Porter Airlines, which means making the trip on aircraft with no middle seats.
Porter will launch a new service to and from the Ontarian port city connecting with four cities across the country starting in June. Travellers can enjoy direct, daily service to and from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) and Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), Halifax (YHZ) and Vancouver (YVR).
Flights from Vancouver commence on June 3, departing at 12:15 p.m. and arriving in Hamilton at 7:59 p.m. Flights from Hamilton depart at 8:20 a.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 10:30 a.m. (see slide two).
The Halifax route also starts on June 3 while the Calgary and Edmonton routes commence on June 11.
Porter also offers three other direct flights from Vancouver, including Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto.
How much will the new route Vancouver to Hamilton route cost?
One-way fares from Vancouver to Hamilton start at $140 on various dates in June (see slide three). Round-trip flights from YVR cost under $400 throughout the spring (see slide four).
Travellers should ensure they check the restrictions before they book a ticket. The lowest price (Basic) doesn't include a carry-on bag and changes aren't permitted. Additionally, seat selection costs $12. The next fare class up, Standard, allows changes for a fee and includes a carry-on bag.
Travellers who book in the flexible class enjoy free changes but must pay any difference in fare (see slide five).
Porter provides refreshments, such as complimentary wine and beer in glassware, and premium snacks, to all passengers, regardless of what ticket they booked. They also enjoy free WiFi.
