Flights from Vancouver to Honolulu cost hundreds of dollars less than usual right now for trips in the new year.
Travellers hoping to escape the chill of the Great White North can visit Hawaii on several dates starting mid-January for over $350 less for a return ticket.
One-way, direct flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) drop to just over $200 a ticket when booked through a third-party supplier.
According to Google Flights, these ticket prices are considered low for the economy and are about $209 cheaper than usual.
For example, a WestJet flight departing on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 starts at $204 when booked through a third-party supplier. However, some of the lowest-priced options may not offer reliable customer service or customers may encounter other issues. Always read reviews and check how reputable a company is before booking. Larger companies, such as Expedia, Flight Centre, FlighHub, and BudgetAir, are typically safer bets (see slide three for booking prices).
The ticket is also $226 when booked directly through WestJet. Travellers may prefer to pay slightly more to book directly with the airline and not have a "middle man." (see slide two).
These tickets are ideal for travellers who only plan to fly to Honolulu and then return from another island or book their trip at their destination.
