Zipair flights: You can fly nonstop Vancouver to Tokyo for $400

These prices cost hundreds of dollars less than usual.

Travellers hoping to score cheap tickets from Vancouver to Tokyo will find the best deals in the fall of 2025. 

Zipair continues to offer the best prices on the popular route but tickets in early 2025 cost around $1,000 and slowly decline through the spring and summer. 

The airline is considered Japan Airlines' "basic" carrier and offers direct service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT). 

Starting in the third week of August 2025, travellers can find one-way tickets from Vancouver to Tokyo starting at $400 including all taxes and fees. Prices remain low through September and into the first week of October. 

For example, a flight departing Vancouver on Sept. 1 costs $411 when booked directly through Zipair and $400 through third-party supplier FlightNetwork (see slides two and three).

According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for economy or $211 cheaper than usual. 

Round-trip Vancouver to Tokyo with Zipair 

A trip departing Vancouver on Sept. 1, 2025, and returning from Tokyo on Sept. 8, 2025, costs $774 when booked directly through Zipair and $741 through third-party supplier ly.com (see slides three and four).

According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for economy or $1,084 cheaper than usual. Tickets for similar trips to Tokyo typically cost between $1,400 and $3,100.
