London is calling...and the price is right.
WestJet has slashed costs on the route connecting Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR), allowing travellers from the Lower Mainland to save hundreds of dollars on tickets to the iconic city.
Tourists have no shortage of places to check out when they visit the English capital, including larger-than-life attractions like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, and the National Gallery.
If you only need a one-way ticket, a flight that departs from London on Jan.30 costs a jaw-dropping $251.66 including all taxes and fees.

Flights home to Vancouver from London cost slightly more, with the lowest round-trip tickets starting at just under $600. However, these prices are considered extremely low for London, with most return trips starting between $890 to $1,700, according to Google Flights.
For instance, a flight that departs YVR on Jan. 21 and flies back from LHR on Feb. 7 costs $597 including all taxes and fees. To nab the low-cost offer, use Google Flights to search for tickets connecting the two cities on these dates and select the lowest-price options. Once the price comes up, tickets must be booked separately through two third-party suppliers: Gotogate and Travel Up.
Always read the fine print when booking with a third party and check for reviews online. Book directly with WestJet if anything seems suspicious. While reputable travel agencies come with some perks, such as a priority line for handling flight issues that the public doesn't have access to, other suppliers may make it more difficult for you to make changes to your ticket in the event of an emergency.
There are also several low-cost options available directly through Westjet that depart over the next couple of months.
For example, a flight that departs YVR on Jan. 17 and returns on Jan. 29 costs $682.69 including all taxes and fees. This price is still hundreds of dollars lower than the seasonal average.
