Travellers can still score tickets from Vancouver to Paris for hundreds of dollars less than average prices -- but the cheaper options are beginning to climb in cost.
It isn't uncommon for trips between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to start at upwards of $1,000 for a return ticket, even if the flights aren't direct, particularly for travel during peak travel times, such as over the summer and winter holidays.
But there are still some tickets available that dip several hundred dollars below the regular price.

In December 2023, it was possible to nab a ticket to the Parisian capital for a jaw-dropping $187 for a one-way flight. While you'd be hard-pressed to find a ticket price that low now, there are still multiple options available that cost significantly less than you'd typically expect to pay.
For example, a flight that departs from Vancouver on Feb. 6 and makes two stops, one in Edmonton for just shy of an hour and a half and one in Calgary for just under two and a half hours, costs under $250 including taxes and fees.
To score the $243 price, you must book the ticket through ly.com, which is a third-party supplier; the ticket is approximately $248 cheaper than usual, according to Google Flights.
If you prefer to book through WestJet directly, the ticket will cost $31 more ($271).
There are several options through February that feature this ultra-low-cost price.
Return-trip ticket headed from Vancouver to Paris
Travellers looking for return options will find some return trips for under $700 continuing into the spring. While it is typically easy to find some tickets starting around $1,000, these prices are approximately $954 cheaper than average prices, according to Google.
While Westjet has some complex itineraries involving three stops departing early in the year, Icelandair has some appealing ones that only include one stop for about the same price. However, you'll have to stay rooted in Vancouver until April to score the deal.
For instance, a flight that departs Vancouver on April 11 and returns from Paris on April 24 costs $675.56 including taxes and fees; it only makes one short stop in Reykjavík in either direction.
