B.C. Ferries is allowing some of its runs that were previously for cargo only to accept passengers as of May 7.
Changes affect the Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen route and the Duke Point-Tsawwassen route.
As of Monday, Monday to Friday commercial sailings leaving Tsawwassen at 3 p.m. and Swartz Bay at 5 p.m. will be changed to accept all traffic.
Starting May 11, commercial sailings set for Monday to Friday leaving Swartz Bay at 7 a.m. and leaving Tsawwassen at 9 a.m. will also change to accept all traffic.
These changes will be in effect until at least June 30.
As of May 7, Monday to Friday commercial sailings leaving Tsawwassen at 10:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. for Duke Point at Nanaimo, and leaving Duke Point at 12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. will accept all traffic.
B.C. Ferries is continuing its 50 per cent passenger-capacity reduction.
