The stabbing death of a man in Vancouver's West End Monday night marks the city's ninth homicide of the year.
Authorities say they received a 9-1-1 call at around 8:30 p.m. reporting that a man had been stabbed near Thurlow and Comox streets.
Police say the victim was transported to hospital, however the 41-year-old Vancouver man later died from his injuries.
At this time, police have not provided any further information about the victim.
No arrests have been made and the identity of the suspect is not known at this time.
Vancouver Police Department investigators believe the killing was targeted and that there is no risk to the public.
