We're kicking off the release of Season 3 of our history TV show BC Was Awesome with the story of Prince George's Sandblast!
Started in 1971, it was a summertime ski race down a sketchy sand track. It lasted until 2003 when insurance issues shut it down after an unfortunate accident.
The Sandblast is an important part of the history of Northern B.C., so we went up there and got the story.
