Vancouver's sunshine-y days are going on a break later this week.
After a couple of weeks of sunny or fairly sunny days, Weatherhood is forecasting a drop in temperature and increased cloud for the rest of the week in Vancouver, including a decent chance of showers over the weekend.
Wednesday, Sept. 11 is expected to be grey, with highs in Vancouver between 16 C and 19 C, one of the lowest highs since summer began. Areas closer to the ocean, like Stanley Park, are expected to be cooler while areas inland and in the east of the city (like Killarney or near Trout Lake) are expected to be around 19 C.
There's also a chance of showers in the city, around 20 per cent.
Thursday and Friday things are expected to clear up a little, with temperatures nudging back up to around 20 C. While there will be some clouds in the sky, no precipitation is predicted.
However, on Saturday, heavier showers are expected, with neighbourhoods in the northern parts of the city (like the downtown or Hastings Sunrise) sitting around a 65 per cent chance and 2 mm of rain. Those looking to dodge the showers might have more luck in the south of the city, where the chance of showers is closer to 38 per cent.
Temperatures won't be too cool, though, sitting between 18 and 20 C (though it might feel cooler for those hit by showers).
Sunday will be more of the same, though V.I.A.'s Weatherhood is predicting more rain (4 mm) in the areas that get precipitation. Highs are expected to remain between 18 and 20 C.
Early next week things are expected to clear up a bit, with a mix of sun and cloud on Monday, but there's still a 20 per cent chance of showers throughout the city.
