Vancouver weather: Forecast includes soaring temperatures

Beach weather is in the cards for locals this week.

The Vancouver weather forecast includes temperatures climbing into the early 30s. 

Following a sunny weekend filled with Pride events, locals should expect mostly clear skies and increasing temperatures in the seven-day forecast. 

V.I.A.'s Yaletown Weatherhood station shows a high of 27 C and a low of 16 C on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Temperatures are expected to climb a few degrees on Thursday, reaching a daytime high of 30 C cooling to 19 C overnight (see slide two).

Friday's forecast also includes warm weather, with a high of 29 C and a low of 20 C expected. 

Weekend Vancouver weather forecast

The weekend looks mostly clear but clouds may roll in overnight Sunday. Saturday's forecast includes clear skies, a high of 26 C and an overnight low of 18 C. 

Temperatures are expected to cool off significantly Sunday, with a high of 23 C and a low of 17 C.

Monday's forecast includes the possibility of light showers up to 3 mm.
